The Hodgepodge Heroes: Orryn “Ink” Nackle
Hodgepodge Hero #6!
Orryn is of course the party’s artificer, with his clockwork shield and steampunk goggles. While I’m really happy with the doohickey at his hip and the flamethrower on his wrist, I have to say I’m really, really into the angled pattern of his scale mail tunic. It offers something a little more unique and modern than the traditional style, and goes well with all the other post-Industrial Revolution gadgetry.
Orryn Nackle is a studious and thoughtful gnome artificer who goes by the nickname Ink, due to his love of being a tattoo artist. He hails from Hupperdook, the center of industry and science in the Dwendalian Empire on the continent of Wildemount. During his 100 years in Hupperdook, Ink became an artificer and helped create Wildemount's first firearms, but after discovering the destruction the firearms caused, he decided to retire in Uthodurn. He spent 40 years as a craftsman in Uthodurn before building his robotic companion, Talos, and returning to Hupperdook to pass his final test to become a master artificer. Once done he decided to try adventuring. He decided to sign up for an expedition with Uthodurn's Academy of Research and Exploration. During this trip he met the Hodgepodge Heroes. He adventures with the Hodgepodge Heroes, Uthodurn's Primary Expedition Team, to this day.
